4 COMFY First Week of School Outfits!!

Obviously, I couldn’t go through the back-to-school month on the blog without sharing some OUTFIT INSPO!!!  When I asked for school post requests on my Instagram, I got a lot for outfits, but more specifically you all asked for comfy looks.  And when you ask, you shall receive 😉  Today, I’m sharing 4 back-to-school outfits that are cute enough to impress the first week of school, but are easy to move in and comfortable!

Everyone’s definition of comfortable is different, so feel free to adapt these looks to fit your level of comfort.  Don’t wanna wear a cropped button-down? Opt for a tucked in one instead.  You find skirts to be annoying?  Go for a pair of shorts that are a similar color and design.  My outfits are always foundations of inspiration for you to build your own looks from, so take them all with a grain of salt and make them your own!

Make sure to check out my other back-to-school posts from this year and last year once you’re done with this post!!  Just click on the title of the post you wanna read, and it’ll take you right to it 🙂

CLASSY with a hint of EDGE

This first look is super sassy and makes ya feel like an absolute BO$$!!  Button-downs have been a staple in my closet as of late; they hold such a variety of styling purposes.  For this particular button-down, I tied it up in the front so that my velvet halter bralette was showing.  Then, to balance out the crop of the top, I wore longer, high-waisted white shorts that scream sophistication.  With my silver jewelry and dark denim block heels as the final touches, I felt like a boss woman ready to take on the world!

LAYERZZZ!

We all know school can get more than a bit chilly at points, so I had to include a look that would keep you warm, but still fit in with the warmer month styles.  To start I layered a red camisole over a basic white tee (never thought I would wear a white tee, but I was wrong haha), and tucked it into my fav pair of army green pants from J. Crew.  The cuffs at the bottom of the pants give it more of a sporty look, and my western-style belt adds the hint of grunge I love all my ootd’s to have 😉  This outfit was beyond comfy, and I highly recommend layering a simple camisole over a tee next time you need to up your fashion game!  It will scream style sophistication when you strut into school the first week.

DENIM + CHICKEN

The most simple look in this post is dedicated to my infamous chicken shirt.  I always pull this one out for back-to-school looks because it’s unique and very memorable.  Instead of going too crazy, I decided to let the tee be the stand-out piece and paired it with a simple, paint-splattered denim skirt and the back-to-school shoes of the century: white vans.  A quirky graphic tee paired with any type of denim is perfect for those of you who maybe aren’t ready to head entirely out of your comfort zone, as it’s a basic but unique way to say, “hey, this is me!”  Of course, playing around with accessories when wearing a simpler look is a great way to jazz things up a lil more!

FEELING YELLOW 🙂

This final look is a way to spice up the previous look.  If you like the tee with a denim skirt look, take it to the next level by finding a nicer tee-like blouse and a colored denim skirt!  I chose my autumn-colored striped tee blouse from No Rest for Bridget and my corduroy yellow skirt to create this BOMB outfit.  It’s sporty, but shows off style while making your legs seem longer at the same time 😉  I threw on my funky fresh platform sneakers and was ready to head out the door for an ace-worthy day of school!
