As you can tell by just skimming my last few post titles, I have been all about spring-themed blogs lately! Personally, I think it’s because spring is a difficult season for me to style for, so I want to ensure that you all don’t feel the same way by posting my styling tips. That’s why today I’m bringing you 10 Spring Essentials that you need to shop now for the upcoming months! Everything from clothing like dresses and pants to accessories like earrings and bags are addressed, and the best part about it all?? These items can easily be worn during the summertime as well, leading to you getting at least a 3-4 month wear out of all of these pieces! Keep reading to hear all about these essentials 😉
My other Spring posts:
Spring is the time of year where the weather becomes warm enough to rock your favorite shorts, dresses, but most importantly skirts! I love a good denim skirt as much as the next person, but this season calls for a more girly take on a mini skirt. You need a flouncy skirt! One that flares when you twirl and goes great with those brand new wedges you bought to get ready for summer 😉
Purses are a year-round essential for us ladies (and some guys!), but for spring colored purses are the way to go. Of course, neutral colors are great for every day use, but for going out and photo purposes, a colorful purse is vital. Try to find one in a shade you love or even one with every color in the rainbow! I love seeing spring looks with a pop of color, especially when the pop is in the purse.
LIGHT WASH FLARED DENIM
Light wash denim in general is a Spring Essential always, but this year the flares are coming back around. These jeans give off the most perfect retro vibes and look great with everything spring. I love that they fit more with the season than their darker denim twin, and how they go well with all colors even the lightest of shades!
FUN GOLD EARRINGS
As you all most likely know by now, accessories are my jam, especially when it comes to earrings and rings. I love silver for the colder months, but have been slowly transitioning to the more fun and girly gold color when it comes to my jewelry. Nowadays, the bigger and bolder the earrings the better, so get out there and search for the fun tassel and geometric earrings that are sure to stand out this season!
A babydoll dress is the #1 item on my clothing wish list currently, and should definitely be on yours too. With it’s girly, yet can-be-styled-edgy silohuette, this dress type is for everyone! Also, they’re extremely lightweight and look just as good with tennis shoes as they do with heels. I’m excited to get my hands on one and carry the style with me through summer as well.
What’s a spring essential post without the mention of florals? I don’t know, so that’s why I’ve included this perfect-for-spring pattern! This print never seems to go out of style, and looks gorgeous on every single person. Lately, darker florals and over-sized florals have been all the rage, so check out those in stores for a unique, but on-trend look.
I’m all for a good leather jacket, but when it comes to warmer temperatures suede is the way to go! I’m not talking about the heavy suede coats, but more of moto-type jacket like the one featured in my Spring Transitions style post. The texture ups any outfit and if you can find one in a cute color, get it!
Ever since I first saw this style pop up on Instagram, I’ve been head over heels in love! A couple weeks ago France Luxe sent me one of their hair scarfs and it is absolutely amazing. This hair accessory easily takes a boring ponytail, braid, or bun to the next level and creates the cutest flirty look.
The off-the-shoulder shirt has been a trend for a while now, and it’s definitely here to stay. I love how care-free and effortless it makes your look seem, but when paired with the right accessories and pants can make the most beautiful outfit. Also, OTS tops are perfect for the transition between spring and winter when paired with a good pair of denim.
Although we shouldn’t see the world through rose-colored glasses, pink sunglasses can 100% be used to make a style statement. 🙂 It’s no secret that pink is the color of spring, so why not show that through something that lies directly on your face? There are so many different styles out there, that it shouldn’t be difficult to find a pink pair perfect for you and your style!
