Top 10 Fall Items: A Peek Inside My Closet

My Top 10 series was put on hold last month, but it is officially back and better than ever!  This installment is all about the Top 10 Fall Items in my closet, which I already know are going to be worn on repeat for the next few months.  Everything from jackets to shoes are covered down below.  Also, I’ve included photos so you can see how I’ve styled them, along with some tips for styling the pieces yourself!  If your closet is in dire need of a fall restock, this post will give you some inspo on clothing items to look for while shopping.  Here we go!

CAMEL COAT

When I get excited for fall outfits, this piece is the first one that comes to mind.  The camel coat is so this season and the way this coat falls open is nice, but keeps you quite warm at the same time.

EMBROIDERED JEANS

Jeans are the everyday essential for autumn wardrobes (well, at least for me), and I’m always looking for ways to make them above average.  Embroidery does this perfectly!  Red, yellow, and orange is my favorite color combo of the moment, and the stitched leaves on these jeans are just that.

BOMBER JACKETS

You can’t have fall without a good bomber jacket; or a good bomber jacket without fall.  I couldn’t choose my best one, so I decided to share them all!  My Members Only purple and beige jackets are arguably two of the most cool-oozing ones I have.  The black bomber with flowers on the back looks great with any pair of shoes, from my black booties to my OTK boots.

WHITE STUDDED LEATHER

I recently shared this rad leather jacket in My Thrift Finds, and I already know it’ll be one of my fall staples for years to come.  The studs make it unique and sun to wear with jeans or a black dress.

COZY CARDIGAN

I’ve had this comfy sweater for almost a year now and it has been my go-to for any cold outing.  It’s gotten me through everything, from testing week at school to cold February retreats in the mountains.  Needless to say, this cardigan is great, and not to mention very soft, especially for cold climates.

GARNET DRESS

Garnet is one of the best fall colors and this high neck ribbed dress if really flattering.  It goes well with a pair of OTK boot and a cute cardigan (the one mentioned above).  It doesn’t have to be a dress, but I’m a firm believer that everyone should own a garnet piece!

RED DENIM JACKET

Ahhh!  We’ve finally reached my most favorite fall item of them all: my fire engine red denim jacket.  If you’ve seen my Red Lookbook, you know my love for this color is stronger than ever.  There are so many ways to style denim, even the colored kind, especially in the cooler months.

BUTTON-UP DENIM

Like I just said, denim is the ultimate styling piece, and button-up denim is no exception.  I’m so ready to wear sweaters and tights under this clothing item, but honestly, the possibilities are endless.  Both button-up skirts and dresses are wonderful in this season.

BLACK AND VELVET BOOTIES

As I said about bombers, I couldn’t decide which of my booties I liked more, so I’m going to share both of them.  The first pair will come as no shock to those who have been following me since the beginning because two of my first Solo Styles contained them.  They’re black with a chunky heel and the necessary fringe (check them out in my Camel Coat photo up above).  Whenever they’re on, I step out feeling like a boss!  The next pair is completely new to my closet, so I’ve only worn them a few times (check out one of my recent posts, First Fall Look, to see them).  The velvet texture and purple-y hue make me so happy!

SOFT TURTLENECKS

Black and gray turtlenecks can be layered under or over anything and everything this season, and they’re perfect fall basics for anyone’s style.  I wear mine under cardigans, jackets, tees, dresses, and with jeans!  I’m still searching for the right dress to wear over my turtlenecks, so if anyone has any suggestions on where to look, let me know.

This concludes my Top 10 Fall Clothing Items post, and I hope you enjoyed and gained some outfit inspiration!  If you want any links to these pieces or ones similar, let me know in the comments below.  Feel free to drop any blog post ideas or questions while you’re down there.  Thanks for reading guys and gals!

💜Love, Olivia
