My summer break officially ended last Tuesday, which unfortunately means essays, tests, and homework are back to bite me. I’m sad to see my freedom to do whatever I want go, but this also means I have 180 days to stroll down hallways in style! Like I’ve said multiple times before, I feel good when I look good, and school is no exception. If a test is handed back to me with a bad grade written on it, of course I’ll be stressed, but there’s a little relief for me when I remember that even though that grade might not be on point, my outfit is! ๐
This post is an accumulation of my first week of school outfits, just to give you a sampling of what my day-to-day school looks are. Let me know in the comments if you want to see more Outfits of the Week from me because I can and will gladly do more!
FIRST DAY: embroidery makes everything better
One of the coolest things you could possibly have on your clothes is embroidery. Naturally, these Zara jeans with beautiful fall colored leaves and birds stitched on was what I had to go with for the first day of school. I paired the stand-out pants (that I got on sale!!) with my Free People fuchsia bodysuit (which I wear way too much and raved about in my Summer Favorites post) and my blue slides. Also, I added some simple jewelry to make the look a bit more extra.

SECOND DAY: don’t chicken out
Instead of just wearing a graphic tee and jeans, I decided to spice things up with a piece from my How to Beat the Dress Code: Part 1. Red is my favorite color of all time, so I knew I would feel super confident in this H&M mesh peplum shirt on top of my quirky chicken t-shirt.

THIRD DAY: sugar, spice, and a romper that’s striped
Today was hump day, and that means a comfy romper for the win! If you follow me on my Instagram, you’ve already seen this look as it has been my go-to this month. My favorite thing about this striped romper, and rompers in general, is that they’re a whole outfit in one. I just threw on my light blue mules, some fun jewelry, and I was good to go!

FOURTH DAY: monochrome and go
I’ve had these white and gray polka dot shorts for the longest time, but have always worn them with a solid colored top. Since it’s the first week of school and I obviously want to look my best, I decided to take things up a notch and pair the shorts with a billowy, black shirt with white detailing around the neck.

And that last outfit concludes this post! There was only 4 because my first week of school was shortened by a day because of the eclipse. I hope you all gained inspiration for some of your own school #ootds and feel free to leave any questions or blog post ideas you may have for me, down in the comments. Thanks for reading!

the old navy romper has got to be my favorite. I always forget about this store because they usually have plain tops. But I forget about all the little hidden cute tops and possible outfits!

The same thing happens to me! I rarely ever stop into Old Navy, but when I do their clothes amaze me. Thanks for reading, Jordyn!

OMG Olivia, I had the same blogpost idea! Literally, I’ve been thinking about it all day! Would you mind? I really like these outfits tho! I love that embroidery jeans you wore on the first day of school. I think this embroidery-trend is such a great one! And that romper on the third day is super cute! I also love the top you wore on the 4th day!! xoxo
