Day in the Life: Birthday Trip

Lately, I have been loving to watch vlogs and to read Day in the Life posts.  It is so cool to see what the people you watch or read about do on a day-to-day basis.  My daily routine normally consists of school, tennis, and blogging with some downtime in between, which isn’t too exciting if you ask me! 🙂  So when my family and I settled on going to Charlotte, North Carolina as one of my birthday presents, I decided this was the perfect time to a Day in the Life for my own blog!

7:02 am – I wake up and make my bed.  That’s my way of starting the day off right!

7:48 am – After watching TV with my sister, it’s time for me to feed the dog and make myself some breakfast.  Everyday I normally eat oatmeal and yogurt, which gets me through the better part of the morning.  While I eat, I read Harper’s Bazaar and blog posts on my laptop.  I also respond to comments on my blog (which I need to get better at doing!).

9:00 am – Once I put the finishing touches on Part 2 of How to Take Professional Looking Photos, I publish it to the blog.  Then it is time for me to get dressed and ready for the day!

9:30 am – I’m done getting ready, but now I need to complete packing because my family and I are going to Charlotte, North Carolina for a night as my birthday (May 5) trip.

10:10 to 11:05 am – With my dad and sister going car browsing (not buying yet) for a potential new ride.

12:08 pm – After scrolling through Instagram and checking blog notifications, lunch is ready!  I forgot to take pictures of my food, but I promise it was nothing special, just my regular old bagel sandwich with raspberries and pretzel sticks!

12:27 to 1:51 pm – Finally in the car headed to Charlotte.  I pass the time by reading Victoria Beckham’s book, That Extra Half an Inch, that is all about fashion and what she has learned about it in her life.

1:59 to 5:17 pm – We reach South Park, the mall in Charlotte, and shop around for a while.  The stores we go to are H&M, Gap, J. Crew, Belk, and Francesca’s.  Also, we stop by Sephora and as you may or may not have noticed, my eyebrows are pretty much non-existent, so I got a mini makeover for my brows!  They ended up looking exactly how I wanted, natural, but visible.  I ended up buying the product the lady used on me (Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde).  Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see a brow tutorial!

My new and improved eyebrows!

5:45 pm – We go to our hotel in Uptown Charlotte after leaving South Park and unpack, then get ready for dinner.  I also posted to my Instagram a photo I had scheduled using the app Later.

6:23 pm – The restaurant we ate at was called The Dandelion Market, a small plate restaurant, and we were able to walk to it from our hotel.  I ate their Cured Pepperoni Flatbread and for dessert shared their Ghirardelli Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae, which was absolutely heavenly!  The Dandelion Market was 10/10 and I definitely recommend it if you are ever in Charlotte.

My plate actually came out with 5 pieces of pizza, but by the time I remembered to take a picture, I had already eaten 2 slices.

SO SO GOOD!!!

7:33 pm – Once my family and I finished eating, we spent the next 40 minutes or so walking around and taking in the sights of Charlotte.  Also, prom for one of the local high schools was that night, and we got to see lots of people with beautiful dresses and hairstyles as they headed to dinner.

8:11 pm – When we got back to the hotel, I threw on comfortable clothes and then we walked around and explored our hotel.  I got to chill for a while in these really cool chairs in the lobby!

9:36 – Later on, back at our room, we watched some TV and I read a little more of Victoria Beckham’s book.  Laying in a hotel bed is always something I look forward too because they are always some of the comfiest beds around! 😂

10:00 – Time to sleep!  It’s early, I know, but I needed my beauty rest, especially since the next day we were going to be wondering around Charlotte some more.

I loved reading this post, it was so well written🙂 I actually had a lady do my nonexistent brows the last time I went into a makeup store called Kiko, and I ended up buying the product she used on me as well!😂Would it be weird to ask if you could do another post like this, writing about the next day? I wanna read more!😄😂
