Braided Up-Do Tutorial

One of the first ever things I uploaded onto this blog was a picture of a braided up-do I did on my sister.  This hairstyle is your classic, cute braid up-do.  The look seems like it took a while, but in reality it probably takes 10 minutes tops!  Today, I am going to show you a step-by-step tutorial for this hair-do.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

-Hairbands

-Bobby pins

-Brush (optional, but recommended ;))

First, pull your hair half way up and split it into two sections, as shown below.

Next, braid the 2 sections and when you are done, pull them apart to make them wider, in order to give the braids more of a voluminous look.

Then, tuck both braids underneath the hair on the opposite side of your head, bobby pinning each to secure them into place.  Be sure the braids are pinned tightly to the head, so then they don’t fall out or get droopy later in the day.

After this, bobby pin down any bumps or lumps to create a polished look.  Now, go out and rock your braided up-do with a feminine, girly dress, or an edgy leather jacket! Either way it looks great, I love wearing it with all different styles.
