Before I even begin this post, I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone! I have gotten so much love and support over the past month and it is more than I ever would have asked for. Being nominated for awards, receiving the kindest of comments, and gaining 250 followers are just a few of the wonderful things that have happened in my blog life this year so far. Not to mention, my follower goal for 2017 was 300, and I am already over two-thirds of the way there!
I want to recognize a few bloggers really quick, then I promise I will get to the post! Thanks to Anna, Tasha Cole Beauty, Cherry and Liv @ Your Rose Awaits for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award. I have just done a post for this award, so will not be doing it again, but I appreciate the nomination just as much as the first time! Liv @ Your Rose Awaits also nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award, along with Alli from Wormal. I will definitely do a post for this award in the near future. Last but not least, thank you to my good supporter and friend, Evelynn C. for making me her website’s Blogger of the Month! Please go check out every single one of these fantastic people’s blogs because they all consistently post quality content and I love everything they do and write. They really do deserve all the love they can get!
Back to regular programming… 😅
Now, I am going to do an eye look that is best suited for a night out! This shadow gives definition to your eye and the gold glitter on top creates a shimmer that cannot be missed! I wore this makeup a few days ago, and no matter how many times I peered into a mirror, I was still surprised by how vibrant the glitter made the look! It will definitely draw attention to you, or at least your eyes:)
I used the Nudes by Maybelline Palette and it is one of my favorite of all time. The colors are perfect for a warm everyday look (especially in Autumn!), but just like I am about to show you, they are a great base for something funkier!
Above is the eye glitter I used. It is from Wet ‘n Wild and pretty cheap, so if you want a very good product I would not recommend this, but it was fine for my purposes!
To start off, I primed my eyelids then blended the lightest brown shade from The Nudes Palette into my crease and the rest of my eye. Next, I took the darkest brown matte shade and stuck that into my crease, blending it so there weren’t any harsh lines. I kept repeating the same steps until I was satisfied with the color. Then, I took the Wet ‘n Wild gold glitter and using my finger, dabbed the gold onto my eyelid. Last, I brushed the excess shadow and gold glitter underneath my eye. Putting on the glitter took a while to get how I wanted, and the glitter still wasn’t as packed on there as I wanted it to be, so I will be looking for better eye glitter in the future I still think the shadow turned out great though!
Here is the finished look:
Hope you enjoyed! 💜Love, Olivia
