Simple Glam Eye

Happy 2017 everyone!!! I can’t believe it is a new year, but I am excited for what is in store for my blog and just my life in general.  Since it is officially 2017, my goals for this year have been officially put into play and I hope they carry throughout the year!

This makeup look I am showing today is extremely simple, quick, and easy to do, but really quite pretty and also draws attention to your eye in a subtle way.  I love wearing this look almost anywhere and I find it is not hard to make this base look more bold and extravagant by darkening the colors you use to create it (which I did for Christmas Day).

The palette I used was the Neo Perle Eye Shadow Journal Set from Profusion and the colors are pigmented but sometimes to get the shade as dark as I want it I must go back over it a few times.  For my inner corner I used an Urban Decay singlet in the shade Midnight Cowboy.

Marked with an X are the colors I used:

To start off, I primed my eyelids then took the nude shade and placed that all over my eye. Next, I took the white, sparkly shade (the very first one) and used a blending brush to put that all in my crease.  I mixed both the purple shades at the bottom and put those shadows on my eyelid and made sure to make the colors darker towards the outer corner.  I then blended the excess purple eye shadow left on my brush underneath my eyes to make the look a little more smokey.  Last, I spread the Urban Decay shadow in Midnight Cowboy into my inner corner to brighten up my eyes.

Here is the finished look*:

Hope everyone enjoyed this makeup look and Happy New Year!
